May 5 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On 5-03-19, at 7:50 a.m.,  Quincy L. Pool, age 42 of Erie, IL, was stopped in Spring Hill, IL, for No Headlights When Required-Fog and cited for Operation with Expired Registration Sticker plus Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Pool was released with a Promise to Comply and a written warning for the headlight violation.

On 5-03-19, at 11:15 a.m., Kenneth M. Ramig, age 21 of Clinton, Ia, was stopped for Improper Passing-Intersection/Railroad in Fenton, IL.  He was arrested for Improper Passing, Driving While License Suspended, and an outstanding Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear-Driving While License Suspended   Ramig was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail.  Hunter’s Towing assisted on scene.

On 5-03-19, at 1:17 p.m., Norman W. Shotwell, age 46 of Sterling, IL,was stopped for tinted windows on Round Grove Road north of U. S. Route 30, rural Morrison, IL.  Shotwell was cited for Tinted Windows, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Civil Possession of Cannabis.  He was released with a Promise to Comply.  Morrison Police assisted on scene.

On 5-03-19, at 4:40 p.m., Jonathan W. Thompson, Jr., age 46 of Moline, IL, was stopped by Deputies on IL Route 84 near Garden Plain Road for no front registration plate.  He was ultimately cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle with a written warning for Improper Display of Registration and Obstructed Registration.  Thompson was released with a Promise to Comply.

On 5-03-19, at 4:57 p.m., Michael G. Rice, age 32 of Morrison, IL, was stopped on Kennedy Road near Palmer Road, rural Albany, IL,for no vehicle registration.  Rice was cited for No Valid Registration and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  He received a written warning for Failure to Obtain an Illinois Driver’s License (resident.  He was released with a Promise to Comply.  Albany Police plus Midwest Towing assisted on scene.

On 5-04-19, at 9:08 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at Interstate 88 and IL Route 78.  A vehicle driven by Jill R. Jessen, age 48 of Forreston, IL, was stopped at the stop sign for the westbound offramp waiting for traffic, when her vehicle was stuck from behind by a vehicle driven by Renee L. Grenoble, age 43 of Polo, IL.  The crash caused moderate damage, and all occupants refused medical treatment on scene.  Grenoble indicated she was distracted just prior to the crash and was ultimately cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

On 5-04-19, at 4:33 p.m., Ryan G. Derrer, age 40 of Sterling, IL, was stopped on U. S. Route 30 just east of Morrison, IL, for speeding.  Derrer was cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and received a written warning for the speeding offense.  He was released with a Promise to Comply.

On 5-05-19, at 1:01 p.m., Bradley S. Goddard, age 30 of Fulton, IL, was cited for Improper Operation of Non-highway Vehicle on Streets, Roads, or Highways plus No Valid Driver’s License.  He was observed by Deputies riding a motocross style motorcycle on 16th Avenue and 4th Street in Fulton.  After posting bond, he was released pending a future court date.  Fulton Police and Midwest Towing assisted on scene.
