The American Legion Post 328 in Morrison, IL, will be out in force at various vendors and banks in Morrison on Friday, May 27, and Saturday, May 28, 2016, on Memorial Day Weekend, distributing the Flanders Poppy flower. Any and all donations are appreciated.
Donations assist The American Legion Post 328 in support of:
- our local Scout Troop
- our Poppy Poster Contest
- the “Support our Troops” Program
- flags placed on 1000+ veterans’ graves
- a student sent to the Youth Police Academy
- The American Legion National Emergency Fund
- a student sent to the Boys State and Girls State Programs
- the Annual Junior High School “American Legion Patriotism” Award
- our Annual College Scholarship awarded to a High School Senior
- the 12-to-15 Veteran Honors Funerals performed annually
- the “Gift to the Yanks” Program for veterans residing in nursing homes.
Post 328 is a tax-free Veterans Organization under IRC 501(c)(19).
