Morrison Historical Society invites patriotic music lovers to celebrate Illinois’ Bicentennial anniversary and military personnel, through “Songs with Historical Significance,” on Sunday, May 20, 2018.
Newly renamed “The Connection,” the captivating trio of Paul Engwall (standing), Aaron Johnson (left), and Jim Roeder will perform instrumentals and three-part harmony vocals, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., at Morrison’s Heritage Museum. The museum is located at 202 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.
“Music is part of the fabric of life,” stated Engwall. “It takes you back to your past, to relive different areas of your life.” Revisit favorite songs from earlier eras and war years with The Connection; feel free to sing along!
Doors open at 1:00 p.m. Bring a companion and arrive before the program, to tour the museum, upstairs and down.
Refreshments will be served.
Morrison’s Heritage Museum is accessible to all, with a ramp entrance at the back of the building. Groups are invited to hold meetings at the museum.
