On 5-18-19 at 2:00 p.m., Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies and Rock Falls Police collectively investigated an incident that occurred in rural Rock Falls, IL. Chase A. Lewis, age 29 of Rock Falls, was arrested for four counts of Aggravated Assault; two Aggravated Assault – Public Way; two Aggravated Assault – With Motor Vehicle. On 5-19-19 at 2:44 p.m., Zachary W. Chaffee, age 27 of Sterling, IL, was arrested in Rock Falls, IL, following a traffic stop for defective exhaust. He was taken into custody and arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle with Revoked Registration, Driving While License Revoked.
