May 11 Sheriff’s Office Report

The public is reminded that these are merely charges, and all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

05-04-15 at 10:50 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted an investigation in the Tampico, IL, area.  Upon further investigation, Travis C. McCann, age 32 of Tampico, was arrested for two counts of Driving Under the Influence as well as a Whiteside County Warrant (body attachment.) McCann was able to post bond and was released with a future court date. Williams Towing assisted on scene.

05-04-15 at 3:20 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 88 at mile marker 36, rural Sterling, IL. Upon further investigation, Jeffrey D. Harvey, age 36 of Wood River, IL, was arrested for No Front Registration, Driving While License Suspended, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Harvey was also issued written warnings for No Mud Flaps, Expired Registration Sticker, and Inoperable Brake Light. Passenger, Tyler M. Morton, age 18 of East Alton, IL, was arrested for two bond warrants each out of Madison County (Burglary) and Macoupin County (Burglary.)  He was held pending extradition. Meanwhile, Morton was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail in lieu of Macoupin County. Williams Towing assisted on scene.

05-05-15 at 9:59 a.m.  Marty L. Pierceson, age 58 of Tampico, IL, was stopped on Hahnaman Road east of Tampico for speeding. Pierceson was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and issued a written warning for his Speeding offense. Pierceson was released on an I-Bond with a future court date.

05-08-15 at 10:24 a.m.  Kelly A. Gillette, age 47 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped on Prophet Road at for No Front Registration. Gillette was arrested, and her Illinois Driver’s License was posted. She was given a future court date.

05-08-15 at 10:55 a.m.  Nickalous J. Ross, age 28, was picked up at his residence in rural Rock Falls, IL, for a Whiteside County Warrant (Obstructing Court Order.) Ross was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail for bond.

05-08-15 at 1:00 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies arrested Devionce L. Goggins, age 22 of Clinton, IA, for an outstanding Ogle County warrant with the original charge of speeding.  Goggins was processed, posted bond, and was released with no further court appearance required.

05-08-15 at 3:09 p.m.  Michael S. King, age 24 of Tampico, IL, was stopped on Prophet Road just southwest of Rock Falls, IL, for No Headlights when Required. Upon further investigation Michael was arrested for operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and given a Written Warning for No Headlights when Required. Michael posted his Illinois Driver’s License and was given a future court date.

05-09-15 at 8:28 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies were called to respond to a broken-down motor vehicle blocking traffic in rural Fulton, IL.  Upon further investigation, Scott L. Hardison, age 28 of Clinton, IA, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.  Hardison was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed, released on a Notice to Appear, and given a future court appearance.  Midwest Towing assisted on scene.

05-09-15 at 9:30 a.m.  Frances L. Gordon, age 63 of Nauvoo, IL, was stopped on Interstate 88, mile marker 36, for speeding 96/70 MPH. Gordon was arrested for Speeding, posted a cash bond, and was given a future court date.

05-09-15 at 11:00 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in Erie, IL.  Upon further investigation, James A. Bray, age 36 of Moline, IL, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.  James was released on scene with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.  R&K Towing assisted on scene.
