Maxine A. Clark, 87, of Albany, IL, died Monday, August 10, 2020, at Prairie Hills Assisted Living, Clinton, IA.
Maxine was born June 8, 1933, in Ravenna, OH, the daughter of LaVerne and Frances (Bailey) Shaw. She grew up in Bedford, IL, then moved to Morrison, IL, in 1950 where she worked for GE for 39 years. Maxine married Lyle “Red” Huycke in 1952. They had one daughter, Denise “Dee.” Maxine married John C. “Jack” Clark in 1974. They lived in Cordova, IL, until his death in 1998. She then moved to Albany.
Maxine loved her family most of all. She enjoyed sewing and carpentry. She had been a member of the Cordova American Legion Auxiliary and GEM Club of GE.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Dee (Steve) Janssen, Morrison; sisters, Joanne Bortniak, Lynnwood, WA, Gigi Bradford, Albany, Becky (John) Willey, Albany; two grandsons, Tim and Brandon; two step-granddaughters, Tara and Trisha; two great-grandsons; two step-great-grandsons; two step-great-granddaughters; two great-great granddaughters; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack.
Private Graveside Services will be held in the Cordova Cemetery, Cordova, IL.
