Marvin C. Kaufman, 79, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, February 22, 2014, at his home.
Marvin was born August 3, 1934, in Tiskilwa, IL, to Preston M. and Florence E. (Cook) Kaufman. He was educated in the Lanark, IL schools. Marvin served in the U. S. Army. He married Kay McGowan on June 9, 1961, in Morrison, IL. Marvin worked for Moorman Manufacturing in Quincy, IL, for many years. He also worked for Nelson’s Electric in Morrison and farmed in the Fulton area. He was an avid fisherman, enjoying his family fishing trips. He also enjoyed hunting and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Kay; one daughter, Christine (Tim) Tipple of Dubuque, IA; one son, Craig (Mary) Kaufman of Fulton; three grandchildren, Sawyer Tipple, Melissa (Matt) Hanegmon, Alex (Dominique) Kaufman; four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Mason Hanegmon, Sammy and Lorelai Kaufman; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Livsey of Jerseyville, IL; two brothers, Wayne (Fern) Kaufman of Mesa, AZ, and Joe (Marsha) Kaufman of Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Eloise Kingery; six brothers, Elmer, Lyle, Howard Glen, Frank, Donald, and Clyde Kaufman.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
