Marsha Lynn Downs Jilderda, 73, of Dixon, IL, died Sunday, June 18, 2023, at home, surrounded by family.
Marsha was born February 17, 1950, the daughter of Randall and Martha (Gehrtz) Downs. She married Tom Jilderda on May 6, 1967, in Lanark, IL. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2022.
Marsha was a member of the Womens Relief Corp and VFW Womens Auxillary. She was a homemaker, raising her four kids while her husband worked as an OTR truck driver. She enjoyed Bingo, slots, Nascar, Green Bay Packers, camping, and fishing. She loved to sing karaoke with her husband and friends.
Survivors include daughters, Tina O’Brien of Princeton, IL, and Becky (Dean Burns) Jilderda of Amboy, IL; sons, Tim (Chauntelle Biagi) Jilderda of Tiskilwa, IL, and Randy (Heather) Jilderda of Broken Arrow, OK; Godson, James Berghammer; brothers, Jim Downs of Buchanan, TN, David (Carlene) Downs of German Valley, IL, and Mike (Cathie) Downs of Morrison, IL; sister, Jodi (Frank) Willie of St. Paul, MN; 11 grandchildren; two grand-cats; six great-grandchildren, with two more coming this fall; numerous special nieces and nephews.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stan Downs, Richard Downs, and Ron Downs; son-in-law, Dennis O’Brien on December 27, 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Dixon VFW.
