Mark Shepard, 62, of Fulton, IL, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at his home.
Mark was born September 28, 1960, in Red Bud, IL, to Stanley K. and Rose M. (Honn) Shepard. He attended the Fulton school system until enlisting in the United States Navy. Mark served as a Boiler Tech on the USS Canisteo with his brother, Mitch. He married Patti A. Grim on October 1, 1994, in Thomson, IL. Mark worked at Lyondell as an Operator for 36 years. He enjoyed camping and boating. He loved playing with his dog, Daisy, and taking her on golf cart rides. Mark especially loved playing Plato on his phone.
Survivors include his wife, Patti; daughter, Karissa Shepard of Fulton, and Katelyn Shepard of Albany, IL; beloved dog, Daisy; brothers, Mike (Rose) Shepard of Lebanon, MO, Matt Shepard of Rio Rancho, NM, Bill (Chris) Clark, Jr. of Albany, and Jeff (April) Clark of Clinton, IA; sisters-in-law, Roxanne Shepard of Morrison, IL, and Kara (Dick) Thomasson of Lena, IL; brother-in-law, Ray (Christie) Grim of Mt. Carroll, IL; many nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Les Grim of Mt. Carroll.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Shepard; mother, Rose Clark; stepfather, William Clark; brother, Mitch Shepard; sister-in-law, Peg Shepard; mother-in-law, Doris Grim.
A private Family service will be held at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Zach Taylor officiating.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 17, and from10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton. IL.
A memorial has been established.
