Marion Kentfield Paulsen, 96, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, at her home in Scottsdale, AZ.
Marion was born in Morrison, IL, on August 6, 1920, in the family home at 201 Grape Street. She was the first child of Carl and Martha Wildi, and big sister to George (deceased), and John. She grew up in Morrison and graduated from Morrison High School. She then attended MacMurray College. After college, Marion met Robert Emrich Paulsen at the USO, and they were married October 3, 1943. She and Robert moved multiple times and to many states throughout their lives. After Robert’s passing in 1970, she worked for the Government until retiring in 1985. She then moved back to the family home in Morrison. In 2009 she moved to Arizona to be near her daughter, Ann. During her life Marion developed a passion for travel and art. Her nature was always open to those around her. She presented herself as a quiet and dignified woman who took her card games very seriously.
Marion is survived by her brother, John Wildi, and sister-in-law, Margarete of Whitewater, WI; son Christopher Paulsen of Bellingham, WA; daughter, Ann Van Norman, and son-in-law John of Scottsdale, AZ. Among her many blessings were her six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren (one deceased), and one great-great-grandchild. Also dear to her were two nieces, two nephews (one deceased), and their families.

VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, Illinois
