Marilyn J. Roffendorf, 73, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA.
Marilyn was born March 3, 1940, in Morrison, to Clyde and Anna F. (Lyon) Betts. She was educated in the Goose Lake Grade and High Schools in Goose Lake, IA. Marilyn married Victor L. Roggendorf on October 9, 1971, in Cordova, IL. She was first employed at the Clinton Garment Factory in Clinton. She later worked at General Electric in Morrison, for 31 years. Marilyn was a member of First Baptist Church in Morrison and served as Financial Secretary for many years. She was also a member of the GEM Club and the Red Hat Society. Marilyn enjoyed collie dogs and doing crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Vic; two sons, Wayne (Jenny) Roggendorf of Schaumburg, IL,and Todd (Rebecca Burmeister) Betts of Morrison; one granddaughter, Heather Blake; two granddogs, Molly and Sally; special friend, Nancy Standard and her children, Jeremy, Jake, Destiny, Justin, and Jennifer Standard.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Rose Filloon.
