Marilyn J. Franks Nusbaum, age 78 of Sterling,IL, died Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Regency Care Center in Sterling.
Marilyn was born December 9, 1936 in Palatine, IL, the daughter of Stanley and Evelyn (Langhoff) Johnston. She married Wilber Franks in March of 1954 in Rock Falls, IL. He preceded her in death in March of 2007. Marilyn worked at General Electric in Morrison, IL, and was a CNA at Dixon State School. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and crocheting. Marilyn was an avid reader and an amazing cook and baker. She also loved spending time with her family.
Suvivors include one daughter, Sherry (Doug) Henry of Harmon; two sons, William Franks of San Diego, CA, and Kirby Franks of Rock Falls; two sisters, Linda (Joel) Floto of Sikeston, MO, and Connie (Tim) Kuehl of Morrison; two brothers, Eugene (Barbara) Johnston of Desert Hot Springs, CA, and Kenneth (Ruth) Johnston of Springfield, IL; two grandchildren, Andrea Henry of Peru, IL, and Josh (Melissa) Henry of Nolensville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Keith, one sister Janice, and three brothers Donald, Robert, and Dwayne.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, IL, with Pastor Jason Borton of the Harvest Time Bible Church officiating.
