Marge Bielema, 95, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at North Ottawa Community Hospital in Grand Haven, MI.
Marge was born November 2, 1928, in Garden Plain, IL, to Clarence and Jennie (DeWeerdt) Juist. She was educated in the Fulton Grade School and was a 1946 graduate of Fulton High School. On May 11, 1948, she married Stanley Bielema in Fulton. He died January 25, 2007. Marge was first employed as a Teller at the former Fulton State Bank, and later, along with her husband, owned and operated Bielema Oil Company. Marge was a member of the former Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton and was a current member of First Reformed Church. She was a member and served as Treasurer of Fulton Township Cemetery Board. he also served as Treasurer for the Illowa Thrift Store in Fulton, and “Helping Africans Help Africa.” Marge and her husband, Stan, were charter members of the Fulton Country Club.
Survivors include herdaughters, Connie (Rick) Van Heukelom of Grand Haven, MI, and Lori (Bob) Van Zuiden of Morrison, IL; five grandchildren, Amy Van Heukelom, Kim (Dave) McDonough; Nathan (Amber) Van Zuiden, Ryan (Laura) Van Zuiden, and Krista (Adam) Luckritz; four great-grandchildren, Connor, MacKenzie, and Reese McDonough; Aiden Van Zuiden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Stanley; brothers, Gerald Juist, Robert Juist, and Paul Juist.
The funeral service for Marge will be held at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Rev. Chuck Huckabee, Pastor of First Reformed Church, Fulton, officiating.
There will be a Visitation from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service;.
Interment will be at a later date at Fulton Township Cemetery,Fulton, IL.
Memorials have been established to the Illowa Thrift Store in Fulton or the Alzheimer’s Association.
