The Morrison School District is sponsoring a developmental screening for those four and five-year-old children who will be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2014-2015 school year (age five before September 1, 2014.) The following screenings are for children who are not currently enrolled in any preschool or other learning programs.
Community Kindergarten Screenings will be held at Northside School, 520 N. Genesee Street, Morrison, IL, on
- Tuesday, March 4, 2014, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 11, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Screenings are free of charge, but parents are asked to call and schedule an appointment for their child by Monday February 24, by telephoning Northside Elementary School at 815-772-2153.
Morrison Head Start children will be screened on Tuesday, March 4, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at 11429 Ward Road, Morrison.
Morrison Preschool children will be screened at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway on Wednesday, March 5, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., or on Friday, March 7, from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Morrison Early Learning Program/Bi-County Preschool (MELP) children will be screened at Northside School, 520 N. Genesee Street, on Friday, March 7, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. or on Tuesday, March 11, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

- fine and gross motor skills
- receptive and expressive language
- academic cognitive development
- daily living skills
- social-emotional skills
- overall adaptive behavior.
All families will receive a complete packet of registration materials for the 2014-2015 school year, as well as a list of additional required documentation, including, but not limited to, immunization records, physicals, dental exams, optical exams, and birth certificates.
