March 6 Morrison Police Report

Morrison Chief of Police Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, March 6, 2020.

Arrests:  On Thursday, March 5, 2020, at approximately 6:54 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Elizabeth M. Schick, age 34 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Ogle County, charging Schick with Failure to Appear-Traffic Offense.  Schick was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Saturday, March 7, 2020, at approximately 2:36 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Kristin L. Hamilton, age 30 of Clinton, IA, for a lane violation.  The traffic stop occurred at U. S. Route 30 and Lyndon Road, Morrison, IL.  As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Morrison Police arrested and charged Hamilton with Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle.  Morrison Police were assisted by the Whiteside County Sheriff’’s Office and Lee County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.  Hamilton was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Saturday, March 7, 2020, at approximately 11:09 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a male juvenile, age 17 of Morrison, IL, for registration violation.  The traffic stop occurred E. Market Street and N. Cherry Street, Morrison.  As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Morrison Police issued Citations to the male juvenile, charging him with Driving While License Suspended, Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Liquor (Driver), and No Valid Registration.  The male juvenile was then released to a family member.  A passenger, female juvenile, age 17 of Prophetstown, IL, was also issued a Citation for Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Liquor (Passenger.)  Another passenger, Lillian G. Pruis, age 18 of Morrison, was also issued Citations for Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Liquor (Passenger) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Morrison Police were assisted by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.
