The following Arrests were made and Citations issued since Friday, March 5, 2021.
Arrests: On Sunday, March 7, 2021, at approximately 11:37 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Ty M. Hatheway, age 29 of Clinton, IA, at E. Lincolnway and N. Cherry Street for a moving violation. As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Morrison Police arrested and charged Hatheway with Driving While License Suspended, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Hatheway was also issued a warning Citation for Failure to Stop at Sidewalk. Hatheway was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Morrison Police responded to a Burglary complaint at Morrison Tech. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested and charged Jacob W. Jones, age 19 of Downs, IL, with Burglary. Jones was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Thursday, March 11, 2021, at approximately 8:33 p.m., Morrison Police responded to a public service request to stand-by at the residence located at 101 W. Main Street, Apt. B, due to a domestic dispute. As a result of the incident, Morrison Police arrested and charged Matthew T. McCole, age 39 of Morrison, IL, with Disorderly Conduct (Class C Misdemeanor), Cyberstalking (Class 4 Felony), Harassment Electronic Communications (Class B Misdemeanor), and Threatening Public Officials (Class 3 Felony). McCole was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
