03-02-14 at 11:50 a.m. Alyssa J. DeLong, age 23 of Dixon, IL, was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Moline Road just east of Yorktown, IL. She was traveling eastbound, when she lost control of her vehicle on the partially snow-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the south ditch where it struck a fence, causing damage to both the vehicle and fence. Alyssa was cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions and her Driver’s License was secured as bond.
03-02-14 at 11:24 a.m. Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on U. S. Route 30 near Mathew Road, Sterling, IL. Samantha K. Mix, age 26 of Rock Falls, IL, was traveling westbound, when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the guardrail. Samantha was issued citations for Driving Too Fast for Conditions as well as Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.
03-01-14 at 4:45 p.m. Deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch north of Sterling, IL. A 17-year-old male was cited for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle and Driving Too Fast for Conditions, after losing control of his vehicle attempting to pass an ambulance during a snow storm on IL Route 40.
02-28-14 at 5:53 p.m. Amanda S. Forbes, age 32 of Sterling, IL, was arrested on U. S. Route 30 near Como Road for No Valid Driver’s License. She was released from the scene on a Notice to Appear. The vehicle was removed by Slim-N-Hank’s Towing.
02-28-14 at 10:19 a.m. Tranesa L. Everett, age 20 of Chicago, IL,was arrested on Interstate 88 at milepost 26 for No Valid Driver’s License. She was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where she posted cash bond and was released. Her vehicle was removed by Williams’ Towing
02-28-14 at 10:19 a.m. Bessie A. Watson, age 39 of Chicago, IL, was arrested on Interstate 88 at milepost 26 for Driving While License Suspended. She was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where she posted cash bond and was released. The vehicle was removed by Williams’ Towing.
2-28-14 at 1:50 a.m. Whiteside County Sheriff Deputies arrested Lakin S. Meyers, 21, of Woosung, IL, for Driving Under the influence-Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence-BAC greater than .08, and Improper Lane Usage, following a report of a vehicle in the median on Interstate 88 at the 36 mile marker. Meyers was released on a Notice to Appear at a later court date. Whiteside County Deputies were assisted by Illinois State Police.
02-28-14 at 9:49 a.m. Edgar I. Rivera, age 22 of Clinton, IA, was stopped on U. S. Route 30 between Sterling, and Morrison, IL, for no front registration plate. He was arrested for No Front Registration Plate, No Valid Driver’s License, and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. After processing at the Sheriff’s Office, he was released on bond. Rick’s Towing assisted on scene.
02-25-14 at 12:09 p.m. Jose M. Santana, age 54 of Milwaukee, WI, arrested on Interstate 88 at milepost 26 for Driving While License Suspended. He was processed at the Whiteside County Jail, posted cash bond, and was released. The vehicle was removed by Rick’s Towing.
02-24-14 at 3:35 p.m. William M. Ingram, age 26 of Chicago, IL, was stopped on Interstate 88 at milepost 38 for Improper Lane Usage. He was subsequently arrested for the Improper Lane Usage and Driving While License Suspended, bonded, and released pending a future court date. Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.
02-24-14 at 9:22 a.m. Dwayne E. Sykes, age 24 of Milwaukee WI, was arrested on Interstate 88 at milepost 26 for Unlawful Display of Registration Not Intended for Use on Such Vehicle and Possession of Cannabis Less than 2.5 Grams. He was processed at the Whiteside County Jail and released on a Notice to Appear. The vehicle was removed by Hunter’s Towing.
These arrests are merely charges, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
