March 19 Morrison Police Report

The following Arrests were made and Citations issued since Friday, March 19, 2021.

Arrests:  On Friday, March 19, 2021, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Eric R. Losik, age 27 of Mt. Carroll, IL, in the 400 block of E. Lincolnway, for a moving violation.  As a result of the stop, Losik was issued a warning citation for Improper Lane Usage.  Losik was also arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Losik was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, was processed, and released with a Notice to Appear.

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Nicholas N. Schultheis, age 36 of Sterling, IL, in the 100 block of W. Lincolnway, for an equipment violation.  As a result of the stop, Schultheis was issued a warning citation for Obstructed Windows (Tint) and was arrested pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Stephenson County, charging Schultheis with Failure to Appear-Theft.  Schultheis was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Sunday, March 21, 2021, at approximately 12:11 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Holden D. Kessel, age 23 of Lyndon, IL, in the 100 block of W. Lincolnway, for a registration violation.  As a result of the stop, Kessel was issued citations for No Valid Registration and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.  Kessel was also arrested and charged with Driving While License Suspended and pursuant to two Arrest Warrants issued by Whiteside County, charging Kessel with Failure to Appear-Driving While License Suspended (both warrants.)  Kessel was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Joseph E. Nohai, Jr., age 51 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Nohai with Violation of Probation (Aggravated DUI.)  Nohai was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at approximately 10:10 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Thomas A. Workman, age 33 of Morrison, IL, in the 400 block of E. Knox Street, for a registration violation.  As a result of the traffic stop, Workman was issued a warning citation for No Valid Registration and was arrested and charged with Possession of Cannabis (30-100g-Class A Misdemeanor.)  Workman was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear.

On Thursday, March 25, 2021, at approximately 3:21 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Jeremy S. Wagner, age 41 of Morrison, IL, in the 100 block of E. Market Street, for an equipment violation.  As a result of the traffic stop, Wagner was issued a warning citation for Obstructed Windows (Tint) and arrested pursuant to two Arrest Warrants issued by the State of Iowa, charging Wagner with Violation of Probation (both warrants.)  During a search of the vehicle as a result of the arrest, numerous tools, power tools, landscaping power tools, and other contraband were discovered in the vehicle.  Subsequently, Wagner was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), Unlawful Use of Weapons (Class A Misdemeanor), Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamines (Class 3 Felony), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor), and Theft (Class 3 Felony.)  A passenger in the vehicle, Seth D. Peterson, age 21 of Morrison, was also charged with Theft (Class 3 Felony.)  Wagner was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.  Peterson was later transported to the Whiteside County Jail as well.  This incident remains under investigation by the Morrison Police Department, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

The public is reminded that these are merely charges, and all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
