Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, March 18, 2016.
Arrests:
On Monday, March 21, 2016, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Heather R. Wikoff, age 41 of Camanche, IA, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County charging Wikoff with Driving While License Suspended – Violation of Probation. Wikoff was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at approximately 10:20 a.m., Morrison Police attempted to stop a motorcycle driven by Cory R. Nylin, age 35 of Clinton, IA, in the area of Portland Avenue and E. South Street for a traffic violation. Nylin fled Morrison Police. Nylin and the motorcycle were later found at 714 W. Park Street in Morrison. Nylin was arrested by Morrison Police and charged with Reckless Driving, Attempting to Flee/Elude a Police Officer, Driving While License Suspended, Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Improper Use of Registration, and Failure to Signal. Nylin was transported to the Whiteside County Jail. Morrison Police later identified the motorcycle as stolen from Clinton, IA. On Thursday, March 24, 2016, as a result of this investigation, Jamie C. Given, age 35 of Morrison, IL, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Given was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
