On Thursday, January 24, 2019, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos announced her sixth annual “Valentines for Veterans” program. She encourages families across Illinois’ 17th Congressional District to show appreciation for our veterans, by making homemade Valentine’s Day cards.
“[Prior to] this Valentine’s Day, I encourage everyone across our region to consider joining me in making valentines for our veterans,” Congresswoman Bustos said. “We owe veterans our utmost gratitude….It is amazing to see the smiles you can bring to their faces, by taking just a moment out of your day to thank them for their courageous service.”
The deadline for submission is Friday, February 8, so Congresswoman Bustos can distribute the Valentine’s Day cards to local veterans.
