Louise K. Mathews, 76, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Resthave Home in Morrison.
Louise was born December 18, 1940, in Fulton, IL, to Jay and Marjorie (Vos) Buikema. She was educated in the rural Carroll County and Thomson, IL, grade schools, and was a graduate of Milledgeville High Schoo, Milledgeville, IL. She married Joseph R. Mathews on February 14, 1976, in Morrison. Louise was employed by Country Insurance, Arians Realty, and, most recently, Community State Bank, all in Morrison. She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison and belonged to the Ladies Aid and Philathea Societies. Louise enjoyed doing word search and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Joe; two daughters, Lisa Corcoran of Moline, IL, and Angie (John) McGee of Rockford, IL; one son, Bradlee VanderSchaaf of Clinton, IA; eight grandchildren; one brother, Jay (Virginia) Buikema of Sterling, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
