louise bielemaLouise E. Bielema, 86, of Erie, IL, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

Louise was born November 21, 1930, in Newton Township, IL, to Peter and Florence (Geerts) VanderVinne. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a graduate of Erie High School. She married Howard L. Bielema on January 26, 1950, in Fulton, IL. He died November 6, 1999. Louise farmed along with her husband, Howard, in the Newton Township area. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton. Louise enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. She also enjoyed baking, especially making her wonderful fruit pies for anyone who asked.

Survivors include two daughters, Marlene (Steve) Jackson and Brenda (Randy) DeWeerdt of Fulton; one son, Darrell Bielema of Bloomington, IL; five grandchildren, Derek (Lisa) Keisel, Amber (Darrell) Dornbush, Misty (Chad Alderks) Keisel, Shelley (Jonathan) Kallenbach, and Allison (Andrew) Schluter; four great-grandchildren, Lillian Keisel, Molly and Kassie Dornbush, and Kye Alderks; three sisters, Ruth Balk of Pella, IA; Frances (Bernard) Houzenga and Dorothy Vanderlaan-Johnson of Morrison, IL; one brother, Maurice VanderVinne of Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; a son-in-law, Roger Keisel; twin granddaughters, Hannah Sue and Heather Anne DeWeerdt; one sister, Pauline Pruis.

FUNERAL SERVICE:  10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2017, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

OFFICIATING:  Rev. Edie Lenz, Pastor of First Reformed Church, Fulton, IL

VISITATION:  4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT:  Lusk Memorial Cemetery, Albany, IL

MEMORIAL:  Albany Fire Department Ambulance
