On Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 3:20 p.m., Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office announced it was seeking assistance in locating a missing 60-year-old White male from the Rock Falls, IL, area, specifically Plautz Road and IL Route 40. Roger Cannon was last seen wearing a yellow and black flannel shirt, blue sweatpants, and black tennis shoes. Family members last saw Cannon around 9:30 a.m. It was reported he likes to walk the area, or he may have hitchhiked into Rock Falls. A medical condition caused concern for his safety.
The public was asked to call local law enforcement or the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office with any information at 815-772-4044.
At 4:03, the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for their assistance in this matter. Cannon was found safe.
