Loren A. Oltmanns, 91, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, in Morrison, IL.
He was born on December 27, 1930, near Coleta, IL, the son of Arthur H. and Mary (Plueger) Oltmanns. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Wanda (Guthrie) Overcash on November 27, 1970, in Sterling, IL. She died January 18, 2021. Loren had worked as a Truck Driver for most of his working career. He was an active member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling, having served as a past Custodian, and was a building Trustee.
Surviving are his children, Cindy Voss of Woonsocket, RI, Gary (Terry) Overcash of DeForest, WI, Daniel (Christine) Oltmanns of Sterling, Brooke (John) Caudillo of Sterling, and Kym Overcash of DeForest; five grandchildren, Joe (Katie) Voss, Eldon (Felicia) Oltmanns, Chris (Kat) Overcash, Lori (Matt) Smith, and Amanda (Jamie) Espinoza; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild expected.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris Church, Hariett Elhoffer, and Elizabeth Freund; grandchildren, Thomas Oltmanns, BJ Voss, and Becky Hawkins.
Visitation will be Monday, July 11, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling, IL.
The Funeral will follow at 10:30 a.m., in the church, with the Reverend Chad Bolosan officiating.
Burial will conclude at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling, IL.
