Preseason Football Acclimatization Policy

Illinois high school football practice begins Wednesday, August 14, 2013.  All coaches will be required to follow new “regulations for safety and heat acclimatization” during these practices.  In May 2013, the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Board of Directors approved changes to IHSA Policy 13, which governs practice regulations.

Morrison Sluggers Win Tournament

Harmon Wins High Point Trophy

Twenty Seahorses travelled to the Duis Center in Sterling, Illinois, on Saturday, June 29, 2013 to complete in the Sterling Stingray’s Summer Pentathlon.  The swimmers were allowed to enter five events which included an IM, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and butterfly.  The swimmers all received a visor as a participation award. 

Seahorses Swim in Bettendorf

On Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16, 2013, the Seahorses competed in the 2013 Piranha Summer 14 and Under Swim Meet at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, IA.  Eleven Seahorses made the trip and came home with 19 medals and 14 ribbons.  The Seahorses had eight individual first

Seahorses Win Trophies in East Moline

On Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, 2013, ten Seahorses traveled to the East Moline Municipal Pool to compete in the 32nd Annual East Moline Short Course Trophy Meet.   The Seahorses came home with seven trophies and 40 ribbons.

Seahorses Swim Summer Pentathlon

On Sunday, June 2, 2013, 11 Seahorses traveled to Rock Island High School to compete in the 1st Annual Rock Island ORCA Summer Pentathlon.  Each swimmer swam four events in IM Order (Fly, Back, Breast, Free.)  Their fifth event was an IM (all four strokes combined in one event.)

Seahorses Swim in Sprint Meet

On Saturday, May 25, 2013, the Seahorses competed in the Spring Sprint Meet at the Duis Center in Sterling, IL.  Twenty-two Seahorses made the trip and did a fantastic job!  The Seahorses had 38 top-6 places, including eight 1st place finishes.  The Seahorse results follow.

Mustangs Drop Regional Final

The Morrison Regional Finals featured two of the elite teams in the area and two of the elite lefties and the trophy was taken by Erie-Prophetstown after a 1-0 win oover the Morrison Mustangs.
