Boilers Too Much

The Kewanee Boilermakers visited the Morrison Mustangs and went home with a 20 point win. A slow start and poor free throw shooting (47%) continued to be a problem for the Mustangs as they concentrate on conference play in January.

Mustangs Outmanned

Prior to the varsity contest, Amboy’s Tyson Powers was recognized for becoming the seventh all-time scorer in the Clippers history.  Following the recognition, he attacked the Mustangs and outscored (26 points) the entire Morrison team in a 35-24 Mustang loss.

Thunder Top Mustangs

A busy week of action at the Cliff Warkins Memorial Tournament at Erie ended with the Morrison Mustangs falling to the West Carroll Thunder 57-48.

Eagles Soar Past Mustangs

The Mercer County Eagles gained a first quarter advantage  and extended it each quarter to gain a 48-24 win in the Erie Holiday tourney on Friday, December 28.

Mustangs Fall One Short

The Morrison Mustangs fell behind by eleven after a half and fought back, but ended one point shy of the Orion Chargers in tourney action at Erie.

Blackhawks Scalp Mustangs

Game #2 at the Cliff Warkins Annual Classic in Erie proved to be a tougher match for the Morrison Mustangs as they fell to the Stockton Black Hawks 55-40.

Mustangs Open Tourney With Win

The Morrison Mustangs opened the Cliff Warkins Memorial Cardinal Classic in Erie on Saturday afternoon with a win in the pool play action  over the Stark County Rebels.  38-29.

Ponies Fall at Buzzer

Mustangs can’t close

The  Morrison Mustangs played well enough to take a five point halftime lead to the locker room, but only scored twelve second half points and fell to the Dakota Indians 44-32.

Storm Stops Mustangs

The Morrison Mustangs are creating a habit of starting slow as they fell behind the Bureau Valley Storm in the first quarter and failed to climb the hill back losing to the Storm by a 62-40 margin.  

Mustangs Fall in Forreston Opener

Morrison entered the Forreston HolidayTournament as a #14 seed and opened play against the #3 seeded Freeport Aquin Bulldogs.  The opening quarter proved to be the difference as Freeport jumped out to a 24-8 first quarter lead and coasted to a 62-42 win.

Mustangs Quiet

The Morrison Mustangs followed their best offensive outing on Friday evening with their meekest perfprmance to date by scoring only twenty-two points in their loss to the Erie Cardinals 36-22.
