Lions Club members began delivering pre-ordered roses on Good Friday, April 19, 2018. They will complete deliveries Saturday, April 20, just in time for Easter. Bouquets varied from beautiful reds, yellows, shades of pink, and some “variegated” colors.
The cost per dozen was $15.
Proceeds from this fundraiser support two scholarships awarded to Morrison High School Seniors and reimbursement to the CGH Eyeglasses for Kids Program, for providing glasses to Morrison area children.
Lion Bob Smith stored his bundled roses in the refrigerator of TBK, 211 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL, where he is the Site Manager. The stayed cool while he made his rounds to businesses and homes on a mild, sunny Good Friday. Bank employees displayed three colorful bundles awaiting his return.
