The Lincoln-Manahan House Museum, at 607 E. 3rd Street, in Sterling, IL, will be open each weekend now through October 2014, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
A meticulously restored home/museum, the building depicts Sterling life in the mid-1800’s, when Abraham Lincoln visited this area. He slept in that house. There are items of interest for all ages.
There is no charge for the air-conditioned, guided tours.
The Lincoln-Manahan House Museum is operated by the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society.
