Library’s Annual Book & Bake Sale

Library booksOdell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, is pleased to announce their annual Book & Bake Sale will be held in the Community Room at the library, on Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

As usual, shoppers will be treated to a huge selection of their favorite books, priced at just 25-to-50 cents! Mystery, romance, science fiction, cooking, gardening, history, children’s literature–we’ve really got it all.  Many books are in excellent condition and ready to be given as gifts, sent to a member of our Armed Forces, or simply enjoyed at home.  The only thing that could sweeten these deals is the scrumptious desserts being sold alongside these fabulous books.

To help make this event a success, Odell is now accepting your  gently-used books.  All items may be brought to the library during regular business hours or placed in the outdoor drop box.  Now is a great time to pare down your collection…so you’ll have room for the books you pick up at the sale in November.

Odell is also seeking donations of baked goods.  Items should be non-perishable, brought in disposable containers, and cannot require refrigeration (no meringues, creams, puddings, etc.)  Please provide your name, the name of the dessert, and any major allergens like peanuts, eggs, wheat, milk, nuts, etc.

Baked goods should be delivered to the library between 8:00 and 8:45 a.m. Saturday, November 8.  Contact Anne Frame at 815-772-7923 or ajframe@mchsi.com with any questions.

Thank you in advance for sharing your donations and culinary talents with the Morrison community.  All proceeds from the Book & Bake Sale will benefit the book budget at Odell Public Library.

For more information on this and other upcoming events, call 815-772-7323, stop by the library, or visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/OdellLibrary.
