Attention, book lovers! Odell Public Library and the Odell Public Library Friends’ Group are readying for the annual Book and Bake Sale, This popular event will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the City of Morrison Community Room, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL.
Odell will accept gently-used books from Monday, September 17, until Wednesday, October 31.
Please share with Odell those books that have been read and/or are no longer wanted. Search the shelves in your homes. Check the nightstand and under the bed. Remember, your discarded book may become someone else’s favorite read. Ask your children to clean out the books the have outgrown.
Proceeds from the resale of those books will enable new books to be purchased for both adults and children.
Library staff are weeding books from the shelves at Odell. Odell Public Library Friends especially seek best sellers–both fiction and non-fiction. Clean children’s books, such as storybooks and pre-readers, are sought. Books suitable for all elementary grade ages plus pre-teen are also needed. Books may be hardcover or paperback (in good condition.)
