Letter from Mayor Everett Pannier re: Ward #4

Posted by

To the residents of the Fourth Ward, regarding a chance to serve:

There is currently a vacancy in Ward (#4) for the City Council position.  Because no one ran for the four-year term in the most recent election, there will need to be an appointment made.  [It] would be for two years, until the next General Election in 2021.  The Fourth Ward is the area east of Genesee Street and south of the railroad tracks.

If you think that you might be interested in serving, or if you know someone in Ward #4 that you think would be a good representative on the Council, please contact Mayor Pannier by Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

Requirements include being a

  • U. S. citizen
  • registered voter
  • resident of Ward #4 for at least a year.

You can contact the Mayor either by office phone (815-772-7657) or cell (815-718-5931); by email at Mayor@morrisonil.org; by dropping off a letter at City Hall.  All interested parties will be vetted, and a recommendation will be presented to the City Council in May.

If you have questions regarding the responsibilities of being on the City Council please contact the current City Aldermen or myself.

I am looking forward to speaking with those interested in serving.

Mayor Everett Pannier
