Thanks to the many bakers and buyers, the latest bake sale of the Church Women United was a complete success. The sale was held Friday, June 13, 2014, at “Between Friends” on Main Street, Morrison, IL.
The money that Church Women United raises at the bake sales is donated to various charities and organizations at the end of the year. Last year’s recipients were PAD, Victory Center, Generations of Hope, Self Help, Morrison Friends Food Pantry, Blankets for Church World Service, Least Coin, and Thanksgiving Fellowship. Members also contribute “Goodie Bags” to the students coming here for Thanksgiving.
Church Women United thanks all who help make these donations possible.
The next meeting of CWU will be for the May Friendship Day, May 1, 2015, at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison.
