Dear Editor:

The Cottonwood 4-H Club and the Morrison Chamber of Commerce would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of the sponsors, businesses, organizations, and individuals who donated their time, services, and money to make this year’s Halloween Parade and Costume Contest a success.  Nearly 250 children participated in the parade on Saturday, October 31, 2015, which was held indoors due to the inclement weather.

We especially appreciate the generosity of Farmers National Bank, the 2015 Costume Contest trophy sponsor.  Special thanks to Walgreen’s for the free photo booth.

Thank you to all of our donors and sponsors:  Advantage One Credit Union; Carillon Communications; Casey’s; Community State Bank; Coz-E Corner; DQ Grill & Chill; Family Chef; Farmers Insurance; Farmers National Bank; Happy Joe’s; Hardee’s; Kophamer and Blean Realty; Morrison United Methodist and First Presbyterian Church Kids for Christ; One Stop Marketing; Sam’s Club of Moline, IL; Schuler Motors, Inc.; Shawver Press; State Farm Insurance; Sterling Federal Bank; Tegeler Accounting Services; thecity1.com; Timber Lane Christmas Tree Farm and TLC Country Store; Triumph Community Bank; US Cellular; Whiteside News Sentinel, and Yoga with Martina.

We would also like to extend thanks to Morrison Junior High School, Southside School, the City of Morrison, Cottonwood 4-H Club parents and members, the Morrison Chamber of Commerce, and our judges:  Donna Boonstra, Carol Hill, Jennifer Suarez, Nancy Stevens, Sharon Moore, Stacie Baker, and Ryan Zinke.

We look forward to next October when we’ll host another fun-filled, community-wide event.

Kimberly Ewoldsen, Director, Morrison Chamber of Commerce
