Dear Editor:
Growing up in Dewitt, IA, where Kris Schmidt began his Law Enforcement career, Kris was the School Resource Officer, I got to know him during my years attending DeWitt Central Schools. Any problem you had, Kris would be right there to lend an ear and to help make the situation better. Kris is the kind of guy Whiteside County needs as their next Sheriff. He is the man that will take the time to hear you out and take what you have to say to make the community better.
He is a very personable man that will lead your community and County with dignity and leadership. That is needed to evolve the Sheriff’s Office into a “community first” Sheriff’s Office.
I endorse Kris, and so does my Company. He helped me as a teen, and I know he will do the same for all of the citizens of Whiteside County.
