Long-time Morrison resident Ron Weimer can often be found volunteering at local car shows, the Morrison Farmers’ Market, and Nothern Illinois Center for Independent Living. He is in need of a new wheelchair, in order to keep him an active member of the community.
Ron was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and has been in a wheelchair for 30 years. Unfortunately, the life expectancy of a motorized wheelchair is about severn years. Insurance covers only a portion of the expense.
Funds raised through the raffle will go towards the new wheelchair. Call 815-772-3757 for additional information or to purchase raffle tickets.
Donations are also being accepted at Community State Bank, 220 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL, 61270. The fund is Ron Weimer Wheelchair.
