LeRoy Wright, 65, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.
LeRoy was born July 30, 1955, in Morrison, to James C. and Arlene B. (Weltzin) Wright. He was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. He then graduated from MIT in Morrison. He married Mary Kay Benson on July 28, 1978, in Morrison. LeRoy was employed by American Piping Group in Morrison. He was President of the Board at MIT. LeRoy enjoyed woodworking and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughter, Nichole (Jeff) Segneri of Nashville, TN; son, Jason Wright of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Vivienne Segneri; mother, Arlene B. Wright of Morrison; sister, Sally (Lawrence) Oudekerk-Terry of Buda, IL; brothers, Jim (Regina) Wright and Steve (Janet) Wright, both of Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Wright; daughter, Ashton Wright; brother, Jimmy Dale Wright in infancy; nephew, Chris Wright.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL, with Rev. Kathy Burkheimer, Retired Pastor, officiating.
There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2021, at Bethesda Lutheran Church.
The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
Memorials have been established to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
