Leroy Dale Oudekerk, age 68 of Morrison, IL, died Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Mercy One Medical Center in Clinton, IA.
Leroy was born on July 12, 1951, in Forest City, IA, the son of Emil and Sophia (Harringa) Oudekerk. He married Sally Wright on November 30, 1985, in Morrison. Leroy worked for 32 years at Schuler Motors in Morrison. He enjoyed reading, watching old WWII movies, and hunting in his previous years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; son, Kevin (Courtney) Bruckner, Jr. of Morrison and their daughters, Kenzie and Kendyl; daughter, Kimberly Pettorini of Morrison and her step-daughter, Montana Mull; two sisters, Ruth Meyers of Fenton, and Mary Huggins of Fenton, IL; four brothers, Dave Oudekerk of Morrison, Harvey Oudekerk of AZ, Larry Oudekerk of Morrison, and Gary Oudekerk of Garden Plain, IL; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Albert Oudekerk; son-in-law, Jereme Pettorini.
Cremation rites have been accorded with the McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will take place at a future date.
