Leonard F. “Frank” Harris, Jr., 40 of Sterling, IL, died Saturday January 4, 2014, at his home.
He was born on August 13, 1973, in Centralia, IL, the son of Leonard Franklin and Victoria Leone (Fortune) Harris, Sr. He had been employed by the City of Rock Falls for 15 years. Frank had a passion for working on cars and motorcycles as well as riding his Harley. He enjoyed playing darts, pool, and reading. He was a compassionate animal lover. Frank cherished spending quality time with his daughter, Victoria.
Surviving is his daughter, Victoria; his mother, Victoria (Mark) Siperly of Galt, IL; his sisters, Jennifer Lench of Rock Falls, IL, Nicole Harris of Sterling, and Kathy Gayle Harris of TN; his brothers: Ed Pashon of Morrison, IL, Jerry Jones of Sumner, IL, and Jason Harris of Rock Falls, IL; Leonard’s companion, Sandy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Franklin Harris, Sr.; his brothers, Ronald Siperly and Dennis Harris; his infant sister, Juanita.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1002 12th Avenue, in Rock Falls, IL.
A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m., with the Reverend Dalmus Meeks officiating.
