Are you familiar with the wax-resist technique of batik, used to create dyed fabric patterns of multiple colors? Image doing a similar process on the shell of a hollow egg! This describes the ancient Ukrainian folk art called pysanky.
On Saturday, February 22, 2014, a class will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon to teach this decorative painting method, at Christ Church, 1717 8th Avenue, Moline, IL.

The cost is $7 for instruction and materials.
With direction from Shelly Janikowski, each participant will make an Easter egg and receive a stand for it.
