The Morrison Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce they have named LeAnn Schaefer as the new Executive Director of the Chamber. She took her post Thursday, November 21, 2019. LeAnn has been an entrepreneur in Morrison for 17 years and continues to own and operate, LeAnn’s Dance Connection. Her experience, qualifications, and expertise were an exact fit with the characteristics the Board wanted to see in the Executive Director role.
“It is an honor for me to join the Morrison Chamber of Commerce as the New Executive Director,” stated Schaefer. “I am excited to be able to help the Board continue to build on the strong foundation they have established[. I] look forward to working with them to bring a new vision and fresh ideas to the organization. I am grateful for the opportunity to be instrumental in strengthening the social and economic environment of the community.”
Schaefer was selected by the Chamber’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors to replace current Director, Meridith Layne. The Board would like to thank Layne for her service and wish her the very best in her future endeavors.
