“This donation is only a portion” of the funds raised.  In December 2016, they “gave about $500 to the [Morrison Community Unit School] District.”

WHOA Board officers are President Tami Tegeler; Vice President/Secretary Erin Luckey; Treasurer Carol Stichter.  Board members include Niki Thede and Sandi VanderleestWiersema is the Program Director.

Wiersema stated the organization “is planning an early June opening.  Twelve people responded to a text today, in order to select a day” for classes. “We have six prospects for horses and hope to have two instructors.”
