The chill in the spring air didn’t slow the gathering of Easter eggs by the youngsters in Kiwanis Park, on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Just before 10:00 a.m., Morrison Fire Department chauffeured the Easter Bunny to the event, with cheers from those awaiting. The eager collection of candy-stuffed eggs was soon to begin.
Kiwanis members, assisted by the Morrison High School Key Club, scattered plastic eggs in a fenced grassy area. They offered a count down for the various age groups to advance and gather eggs until the area was void of treats.
All children age nine and under were allowed to join the search. Parents were allowed to accompany the age group of 0-2 years of age.
Some eggs contained a note to receive a special basket from the Easter Bunny.
