Now through Saturday, November 7, 2020, Morrison Kiwanis invites the public to support their annual Fruit and More Sale. Below are photos of the delicious fruit, cheese, nuts, and meat. Consider such products as Holiday items to share or to mail as gifts. Now is the moment to consider a generous donation.
This is the only 2020 fundraiser. Like other service organizations, due to the corona virus pandemic, the Kiwanians were prohibited from holding four-to-five sandwich sales.
In addition, High School Key Club members missed service opportunities during their second semester: not hosting two blood drives; not assisting at the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt; not helping adults with the sandwich sales.
Kiwanis raises funds to support Morrison residents of all ages. Recipients have included
- an annual Academic Award to a Key Club college student
- April House Children’s Advocacy Center
- CGH Foundation (dental work and eyeglasses for Morrison residents)
- Morrison Community Day Care Center
- Odell Public Library
- United Way Dolly Parton Imagination book program of monthly, free books for children from birth through age five
- White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center (WHOA)
- Youth baseball and softball.
