Kindness Rocks Morrison

Posted by

Barb King and daughter Erika, 13, created a few painted designs, during Kindness Rocks Morrison, Saturday, September 9, 2017.  The event drew “about 25 people,” stated Kim Ewoldsen, to the Lions Club Shelter at the Morrison Sports Complex, beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Erika went to the back of the truck in search of another perfect rock to paint.  Although they look unassuming, in the sunlight many glittered with quartz crystals.  No glitter was needed to decorate those rocks, but it was supplied as a decor option.  Quality Ready Mix Concrete Company, 14849 Lyndon Road, Morrison, IL, donated the stones.

Morrison True Value Hardware, 104 S. Genesee Street, discounted the cost of acrylic paint, brushes, and paint pens.  CAPA also helped with paint materials.

These rocks were left for admirers to find at the Sports Complex.  Look around Morrison for other inspirational messages.
