There was a host of happy helpers at Resthave Retirement Nursing Home, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison, IL, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, March 28, 2015, to prepare for the Easter Bunny’s upcoming event. The Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 4, at Kiwanis Park, Morrison. The big bunny–whose nickname is KRALC-YLIME–will be delivered at 9:45 a.m., courtesy of Morrison Fire Department personnel. At 10:00 the dash for eggs will begin with the youngest children.
Across eight tables in the remodeled dining area, Kiwanians, Morrison High School Key Club members, volunteers, and Resthave residents and staff set to work stuffing nearly 1600 colorful plastic eggs. They filled them with candy and bubble gum. Some eggs also hold notes for toy prizes or coupons for food treats at DQ Grill & Chill and Hardee’s.
