Kevin G. McCulloh (1961 – 2014)

Kevin G. McCulloh, 53, died at home Sunday, November 9, 2014, in Simi Valley, CA, after a short battle with cancer.

Kevin was born March 24, 1961, in rural Morrison, IL, to Owen and Judy (Schroeder) McCulloh. He attended Union Grove and Prairie Center public schools and then graduated from Morrison High School in 1979. After high school he attended Sauk Valley Community College for one year. In the fall of 1980 Kevin transferred to Hawkeye Technical Institute in Waterloo, IA, and received a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

In August, 1982, Kevin and Lisa Conrads were married in Cedar Falls, IA, and celebrated their 32nd Wedding anniversary in August 2014. After their honeymoon, Kevin started working at Clifton Gunderson, which later became Litton Industries in Davenport, IA. While working for Litton, Kevin earned a BS in Physics from St. Ambrose University in Davenport. As an engineer, he was a gifted problem solver and designer.

Kevin played a major role in the development of the first home-fill oxygen therapy system. The Total 02 oxygen concentrator has forever changed home oxygen therapy. It was this joint project between Litton and Chad Therapeutics, Chatsworth, CA, that led Kevin and his family to move to California in 1998. There Kevin went on to receive a Master of Business Administration at California Lutheran University. Over his engineering career he was awarded many patents.  In 2010 he starting working for Res Med where he loved working. They were like a family to him.

He was a member of Cornerstone Church, Moorpark, CA.
    
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; four daughters, Melissa, Kara, Tamra, and Mikayla; four grandsons, Conner, Baron, and Braydon Calabrese and Quinn Martin; parents Owen and Judy McCulloh of Morrison; one sister, Kandy (Steve) McCulloh Heller, Morrison.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Annetta Schroeder; paternal grandparents Howard and Mae McCulloh; two uncles and two cousins.

The Memorial Service has been planned for Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Morrison United Methodist Church, Morrison, IL, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation preceding at noon.

Burial will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL, following the service.
