Kenneth R. Kramer, 70, of Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison, IL, formerly of Fulton, IL, and Clinton, IA, died Monday, April 15, 2019 at Resthave.
Ken was born on June 21, 1948, in Clinton, to Elmer and Irene (Hoogheem) Kramer. He was educated in the Fulton Grade School and was a 1966 graduate of Fulton High School. He continued schooling and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Business from Central College in Pella, IA. In his younger years Ken worked in maintenance at Lock and Dam 13 and at Robert Stone Excavating. Ken’s employment career was in banking. He was one of the founders of Citizen’s First Bank in Clinton, and was the Vice President of Commercial Loans. Ken was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton. He served on the Board for Genesis VNA and also the Clinton Showboat. Ken loved antiquing and collecting railroad lanterns, oil lamps, arrowheads, Red Rider BB guns, model John Deere tractors and trains, and also Civil War memorabilia. He was an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. He also enjoyed raccoon hunting.
Survivors include his fiancée, Debra Bousman of Fulton; three daughters, Kasey (Josh) Rosburg of Janesville, WI, Morgan (Keith) Ducomobe of Muscatine, IA, and Mackenzie (Alex) Zacholski of Luck, WI; two sons, Jason (Cara) Kramer of Bettendorf, IA, and Benjamin (Lindsay) Kramer of Elkhorn, NE; 11 grandchildren, Madolyn and Violet Rosburg, Jackson and Kiersyn Ducomobe, Henry, Genevieve, and Enoch Zacholski, Ryan and Elizabeth Kramer, Beatrice and Leo Kramer; one sister, Sandy (Larry) Senior of Fulton; his fiancée’s children, Briana (Jason Eckhoff) Berryhill, Brett Bousman, Brooke (Todd) McCoy; grandchildren, Evan and Levi McCoy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Brent Senior.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday April 20, 2019, at First Reformed Church in Fulton, IL, with Ken Renkes officiating.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2019, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service.
Interment will be at the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL, at a later date.
