Kenneth “Corky” Bierman, 82, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison, IL.
Corky was born April 17, 1938, in Sterling, IL, to Carl H. and Bessie M. (McKee) Bierman. He was educated in the Lincoln Grade Schools of rural Whiteside County and was a 1956 graduate of Morrison High School. Corky served in the United States Army. He married Shirley Jane Barsema on May 1, 1959, in Fulton. Corky was employed at Vend-OMack in Morrison for 46 years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Fulton where he served as a Deacon. He also served on the Fulton Christian School board. Corky was an avid bowler, participating in the Morrison Thursday Night League.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; son, James (Shelly) Bierman of Morrison; granddaughter, Cameron (Matthew) Ottens; great-grandson, Mason Ottens; brother, Robert (Donna) Bierman of Morrison; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Minnie Mae Koett.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL, with Rev. Kevin VerHoeven, Pastor of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, officiating.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2020, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established to MercyOne Clinton Oncology Center in Clinton, IA.
