Kathryn “Tootie” Bielema, 91, of Resthave Home, Morrison, IL, died Monday, January 20, 2014, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL.
Kathryn was born January 1, 1923, in Garden Plain Township, IL, to John and Tessie (Norman) Zeeryp. She was educated in the Fulton Christian Grade School and attended Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. She married Raymond W. Bielema on January 6, 1942, in Fulton. He died October 15, 1984. Kathryn farmed along with her husband, Ray, in rural Morrison. She was a member of Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton, where she was active in the Ladies Aid Society. Kathryn enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, and traveling.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda (Arnold) Damhoff of Morrison; Norma (Dean) Boehde of Clinton, IA; Debra (Larry) Tervelt of Loves Park, IL; Bonnie (John) Bauscher of Morrison; three sons, Ronald (Cheryl) Bielema of Canton, IL; Joe (Cindy) Bielema of Morrison; John (Charlene) Bielema of Morrison; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Bielema of Fulton; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; one son, Terry Bielema; one grandchild, Benjamin Bauscher; one sister, Marian Rose; and two brothers, Harold Zeeryp and one in infancy.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014, at Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton, IL
