Kathryn J. Pruis, 93, of Resthave Home, Morrison, IL, died Friday, April 13, 2018, at the home.
Kathryn was born March 22, 1925, in Morrison, to John and Reka (Borgman) Foster. She was educated in the Albany Grade School in Albany, IL. Kathryn married Dwayne Pruis on September 4, 1946, in Morrison. He died May 16, 2006. Kathryn farmed along with her husband. She was also employed as a cook for Harbor Crest Home in Fulton, IL, and Erie Elementary School in Erie, IL. Kathryn was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, reading, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Tucker of Fenton, IL, and Joan (Gordon) Vos of Mt. Carroll, IL; one son, Roger Pruis of Morrison; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole) Tucker, Monica (Adam) Wainwright, Karl (Stephanie Chevalier) Tucker, Kurt (Lana) Tucker, Charlotte (Doug) Wibholm, Sarah (Terry) Foust, Amber (Kurt) Bush, Timothy (Chris) Pruis, and Angela (Shane) Adams; 21 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dwayne; one son-in-law, Bill Tucker; one sister, Marie Deelsnyder; two brothers, Edward and Raymond Foster.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Mr. Ken Renkes officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 16, 2018, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial has been established to World Vision International.
